Living in the Macedon Ranges with his family, Tate spent much of his early life receiving specialised treatment to re-train his muscle groups and through extraordinary determination, discipline, and plain hard work, Tate has achieved goals others have only dreamed of. Tate is also an encouraging mentor to others living with a disability. Assisting them in achieving their own life aspirations. Like all young people when leaving school, Tate assessed his employment opportunities and career aspirations. After examining his strengths and areas of interest, All Abilities Public Speaking was born. This platform provides Tate with the perfect opportunity to use his natural ability to connect and bring people together, all while spreading awareness of disability and inclusion. As a public speaker, Tate is dynamic in his approach, receiving assistance from various technology and support workers to achieve outcomes. Through his lived experiences, Tate shares his daily challenges to educate others on how those living with a disability can be included into everyday activities - with a little thoughtfulness, understanding and assistance, a huge impact can be made. A supportive environment can improve an individual’s overall well-being and contribute to a meaningful experience for all. As a public speaker, Tate is a source of resilience and inspiration. Through his determination, faith and hope, Tate has not only completed physical accomplishments, but he also successfully completed secondary learning and has completed his Certificate 1 in Work Education through TAFE. When Tate is not speaking and educating others around disability, he enjoys heading down to his local football club and cricket club, sharing a meal and being social. Tate is now on a mission to share his life experience thus far to educate and promote awareness of his and other disabilities. To challenge the social disability model and influence people to make positive changes.
